In the hush between two midnight sighs,
I hear the whisper of a world gone still—
A fading echo beneath empty skies,
A heart that beats because it always will.
The room is full, yet no one’s here,
Just shadows dancing with my fear;
I reach for warmth that never stays,
A ghost of love in hollow days.
The window stares with distant light,
Moon lays silver on my pain—
I ask the stars if I’m alright,
They shine, but never speak my name.
Every step sounds loud and slow,
Like truth I’m scared to finally know—
That loneliness is not a guest,
It lives inside my quiet chest.
Still I breathe, though no one sees,
Still I dream through broken ease;
And hope—small, trembling, soft,
Waits for dawn to lift me up.
